Our Mission:

Operating with the understanding that livestock mortality or property/crop damage perpetuates intolerance to grizzly bear presence, Grizzly Bear Coexistence Solutions provides grizzly bear safety and electric fencing workshops, public outreach, and a cost share with residents on electric fencing to protect livestock and crops from bears.

Our Vision:

Grizzly Bear Coexistence Solutions (GBCS) is helping recovery efforts of grizzly bear populations in the south and west arm of Kootenay Lake by working to improve human-grizzly bear coexistence through education, collaboration, and the use of practical tools. GBCS also works to prevent grizzly bear conflicts in the North Arm, specifically in the area near Meadow Creek Spawning Channel.
