The Kootenay Conservation Program is teaming up with Friends of the Lardeau River and Friends of Kootenay Lake to organize a community shoreline clean-up in the north end of Kootenay Lake.

Kootenay Lake

When: Sunday September 28th 10:00am-1:00pm

Where: Rendezvous at the Argenta boat launch (4.3km south from intersection of Duncan Lake Rd. and Argenta Johnsons Landing Rd.)

Take action against shoreline garbage by joining us on September 28th for the Top of the Lake Shoreline Clean-Up event. The plan is to meet at the Argenta boat launch at 10am and start cleaning up the shoreline. Bring your boots and work gloves. There will also be a BBQ and refreshments on the beach to fuel the volunteers!

“Although this is quite a pristine area, there is a lot of garbage along the shoreline at the north end of Kootenay Lake. This event will be a great opportunity for community members to help the environment and socialize by the lakeshore.”
