Communications Coordinator – Megan Jamison

In addition to her KCP role, Megan is a teacher and outdoor educator who is passionate about connecting people with nature. She has called the Kootenays home for over 15 years and has explored many of the amazing wild places in the East and West Kootenays while hiking, camping, paddling, and skiing. Her previous careers include working as a hiking guide in the Rockies, a forest technician in the East Kootenays and Alberta, a wilderness guide on the coast, and as a project researcher in the Yukon. She has a B.Sc. degree in Geography as well as a B.Ed. and is happy to now be involved with hands-on environmental restoration projects on her own land in the West Kootenay. Megan values collaboration, connection, community, and conservation of nature.
