The East Kootenay’s Changing Climate: Actions for a resilient Future.

The Trench magazine recently featured this article about KCP’s Kootenay Connect Priority Places (KCPP) initiative, in their Spring/Summer 2026 issue.

The article highlights research by Kootenay conservation ecologist Greg Utzig, who has spent four decades analyzing how climate change will impact the Kootenays’ ecological corridors. Also featured is the hydrological research and wetland restoration work supported by KCPP and conducted by Dr. Suzanne Bayley and her team with Columbia Wetlands Stewardship Partners.
