Video of Access Management in the Columbia Wetlands. As demand for recreation grows, and is overlapped with resources extraction, the cautionary principle needs to be triggered to ensure the habitat needs of wildlife are being conserved alongside recreation development. With local knowledge and accumulated ecological data, the Columbia Wetlands Stewardship Partners (CWSP) responded to a call for proposals by the Province for Access Management Areas, to make scientifically-backed recommendations for 13 areas in the Rocky Mountain Trench.
