Kootenay Connect Priority Places focused on addressing the dual crises of decreasing biodiversity and intensified climate disruption in the Kootenay region, for seven years, across seven landscapes. Applying leading-edge practices, this initiative supported a team of over 40 local partners and specialists with habitat-based projects in priority ecological corridors.
Over the seven years from 2019 to 2026, dozens of reports, maps, and videos were developed as part of this project, highlighting important research and work done on-the-ground, including ecosystem restoration and monitoring, biodiversity inventories, habitat enhancement and conservation of at-risk species. We are pleased to announce that these resources are now available in a searchable database.
The reports, maps, and short videos are all searchable in a very user-friendly format. In the database, you can search by keywords, organization name, author(s), geographic area, etc., making it very easy to find the information you are seeking.
We hope you find this Resource Directory easy-to-use, helpful, and informative.
