KCP’s Kootenay Connect Priority Places (KCPP) initiative is the topic of an article in the Spring/Summer 2026 issue of ‘The Trench’.
The article highlights research by Kootenay conservation ecologist Greg Utzig, who has spent four decades analyzing how climate change will impact the Kootenays’ ecological corridors. Also featured is the hydrological research and wetland restoration work supported by KCPP and conducted by Dr. Suzanne Bayley and her team with Columbia Valley Stewardship Partners.
You can find copies of the Spring/Summer issue of The Trench magazine at many locations throughout the East Kootenay/Columbia Valley, as well as in Creston.
