The Kootenay Lake Partnership (KLP) was formed in 2010 to address the increasing growth and development pressures of people desiring to live on or near Kootenay Lake. KLP is a multi-agency initiative to support management approaches for a productive and healthy Kootenay Lake ecosystem, and as such, has developed a Kootenay Lake Shoreline Guidance Document and Slocan Lake Shoreline Guidance Document.
