On Sunday September 28th, sixteen people showed up to help out with the shoreline clean-up in Argenta. Volunteers managed to pull a full pick up truck worth of garbage off the beach including fridges, freezers and tires.

Locals suspect that a lot of this garbage came from a blow out on Hamill Creek causing an entire homestead to be washed into the Duncan River and Kootenay Lake. After the cleanup there was a BBQ on the beautiful beach. A huge thank you for all the people that came out! A special thanks to the Friends of the Lardeau River and the Friends of Kootenay Lake for partnering with KCP to help make this event a success.
