The KCP Annual Fall Gathering is a wonderful opportunity to learn about conservation projects in the Kootenays, share knowledge and information, and network with other organizations in the region. This year’s event focuses on the theme of “Biodiversity Hotspots of the Kootenays” and will be held at the Copper Point Resort in Invermere on October 4 and 5.
Friday afternoon will feature engaging speakers about key biodiversity hotspots in the Kootenays and current conservation projects to protect them. The banquet dinner on Friday night will showcase this year’s Conservation Leadership Awards and the new Stewardship Solutions toolkit. On Saturday we will head out to the new Columbia River Wetlands Edgewater Conservation property and other areas rich in biodiversity. A Casual Social at the Nature Conservancy of Canada office in Invermere will follow the field tour.
This event fills up so register now to ensure your place! We are extremely grateful to our funders who support this event and our program: Columbia Basin Trust, Fish and Wildlife Compensation Program, Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation, The Nature Trust of BC, and Nature Conservancy of Canada.
